The Art of Meal Prep

The Decline of Eating In

Eating out can be appropriate for a number of reasons depending on the consumer. For example, it may be to celebrate a special occasion with family. For most people, however, it is just a random night of the week where no one wants to cook.

The trend of not wanting to cook (and glorifying the convenience in eating out) has skyrocketed along with the cost.

According to a researcher at the Harvard Business Review, Americans can be divided into three groups:
-10 percent said they enjoyed cooking
-45 percent said they despised cooking
-45 percent were indecisive or indifferent about cooking

Eating out is a very costly habit, not only affecting our budget, but perhaps contributing to a decline in your health based on your choices.

The Savings Solution

Planning and preparing meals ahead of time provides many benefits. It can ultimately save your wallet, energy, and health while putting the enjoyment back into cooking for yourself and loved ones.

Meal prepping is sometimes perceived as exclusively for those with fitness goals, extra time to spend, and more money to invest. This is incredibly misinterpreted. Instead, meal prepping gives you more control of your diet while supporting fitness goals as well as provides you with more time cumulatively throughout your week, and ultimately saves you money long term!
